The Basics (Bay-Sucks)

The Bay does not in fact suck, I love it. But what with school and all I've had less time to sit around drawing and painting and such... So There will probably be a lot less posts, not that it really matters to anyone. In the meantime check out them Barbarians....

New Roots

Got all moved in yesterday to my new abode in Berkeley. Drew this up after a quick walk around the neighborhood earlier this afternoon. It could have turned out much better but what can you do. Don't give up, give in.

Black Lung

Yesterday was one of the best days of the summer. Went out to Mare Island with my next of kins Izzy, Kai, and Katie, to poke around some of the abandoned buildings out there. It was amazing, we took lots of photos, jumped around, climbed through room after room of smashed, mildewy, decaying glory. There is something about old buildings that just can't be beat... though I'm sure my lungs are shot after all the asbestos I took in. Here are a few of the photos, just to give you an idea...

Far Gone

The heat's back again making my life a misery. Thank goodness I'm moving out to the bay. I've been all over the past few days but I'm settling in for the week to pack and enjoy the last little bit of freedom before moving out and starting school. I got a couple of new things in the works but until then here's a few pieces from my grand triangle phase.

Excuses Excuses

I haven't been as busy painting because...

a) I'm enjoying the last of my summer break, beach trips, picking berries, making jam, museum going, ect.

b) I purchased the beauty pictured below and have spent the past couple of days plugged in and tuned up.

But I'm not a total loss. I restarted the troublesome project and seem to finally be making some headway. if all continues to go well I'll have it done by tomorrow. 

A Little Love

My lovely sister made me this rockin' shrine box which now graces my desk and makes me a real happy camper. Isn't she the coolest?

Right now I'm struggling with a new project that just won't get off the ground, it's a good idea, it just doesn't want to work. But on a more positive note today I had the best crab sandwich and cup of chowder in the whole world out by Bodega Bay. I'm a changed person.
